Introduction: Chocolate Waffles

Hello, my name is Matt and I am a high school student. When saw this contest I immediately decided I would join because cooking is a skill I need to learn and get better at. I am off to college in a little over a year and don't know how to cook or bake.

Supplies

The following supplies below make 1 waffle:

waffle maker

Bowl

Waffle mix (1 cup)

Measuring cup

Water (3/4 cup)

Chocolate chips (as many as you want)

Spray (use for waffle maker so the batter does not stick)

Syrup

Fork, knife, and spoon

Step 1: Preheat Wafflemaker

The first step is to let the waffle maker heat up. Do not put a waffle in the maker before a beep or light indicates ready. Mine beeps and glows green when ready.

Step 2: Water

The second step is to measure out the water. Use a measuring cup with purified water and fill to 3/4. Then pour into the bowl.

Step 3: Batter

Step three take your batter and measure out 1 cup. Then pour batter into the bowl.

Step 4: Mix

Step four mix the water and batter together. Do this for 2 minutes and ensure that all the batter is off the side of the bowl.

Step 5: Chocolate Chips

Step five is my favorite step. Add in as many chocolate chips as you want. The more you add the better!

Step 6: Mix Again

Step 6 mix the chocolate chips into the batter and water. Then let the batter sit for 2-3 minutes before pouring into the waffle machine.

Step 7: Spray

Before pouring batter spray the waffle machine. Although this is not needed helps waffle mix not stick and makes it easier to clean up.

Step 8: Pour

Step eight pour the batter into the waffle maker. I recommend pouring in the middle and taking a spoon to lightly move the batter around. After closing the waffle maker. Leave in the maker for about 2-3 minutes.

Step 9: Done!

Open the waffle machine once you hear a beep or a light glows. The more burnt you like the longer you should leave in the machine. If you like any yummy topping like syrup add now!
