CloudLamp

The CloudLamp project is a lamp made from reused materials. It was created after we realized that, in Brazil, waste is a recurring problem, causing various social and environmental impacts.

In 2023, approximately 69 million tons of waste had no adequate destination, such as recycling centers or landfills. In addition, much of the waste produced — especially hospital waste — is incinerated, which releases toxic substances, carcinogenic pollutants, and causes acid rain, polluting the soil and water when incineration is done improperly.

Given this, reuse — the process of using objects and materials that would otherwise be discarded to make new items, tools, toys, among other things — is an excellent way to combat this problem. Thus, the “CloudLamp” contributes to the idea of reuse by using recycled materials in its production, giving utility to waste that would otherwise be discarded

Step 1: Making the Support

First, make a hole in the PVC pipe and put the blinker inside it.

Step 2: Making the Cloud

Next, make another hole in the PET bottle and put the blinker inside it, connecting the pipe at it.

Step 3: Painting the Support

Now, seal the hole with the silicone glue. Next, involve the structure with the garbage bag and paint the structure with the spray paint.

Step 4: Finalizing the Cloud

Now, glue the silicone fiber at the bottle as you like.

Step 5: See the Magic ✨️🌈

After all, turn on the blinker and see the magic ✨🌈
