Coke Bottle Rocket Car

With a simple coke bottle and mentos (and wheels) you can make a soda rocket car.

Supplies

1L of Coke

Skateboard or 4 wheels

A way to mount the bottle to the wheels/skateboard such as tape

5 or 6 mentos mints

Step 1: Step 1:

Tape the bottle with coke in it onto the skateboard/mount the bottle onto the wheels.

Step 2: Step 2:

Wrap the mentos longwise with masking tape to make a sort of package. The sides of the mentos should be exposed.

Step 3: Step 3:

Take off the cap of the soda and put the package in. Quickly screw the cap back on and strike the cap with a hammer, stick, anything long enough to be safe but still have enough force to get a good hit on the cap.

Step 4: Step 4:

If everything goes right the bottle should blast off and the car will shoot forward.
