Have you ever dreamed of falling asleep under the constellations? Well if you follow this diy tutorial, now you can!

All you need is:

-Small Torch (Preferably LED)

-Thin Cardboard (Any size)

-Cardboard Tube (about 5 cm/2 inches in diameter)

-Scissors

-Tape/glue

-Pen or Pencil

-Skewer

Now that you've got all those, lets get started!

Step 1: Step 1: Pick a Constellation/star Layout

Now there are a lot of constellations, when I say that, I mean a LOT. Obviously the first thing your going to have to do, is choose one. You can make up one, or find one on the internet but it needs to be a clear diagram to show you how the stars are laid out. In my case, I chose Pegasus, which you can see above. There are many constellations to chose from so go ahead!

Step 2: Step 2: Printing Out the Constellation

Next, you will want to print out your constellation. You can do this by either drawing it yourself or using a printable image/text editor such as Microsoft Word. First of all copy your image onto the Word Document, and now you'll have to resize it. The constellation needs to fit in an area of about 3cm by 3cm. Otherwise it will not fit on the cardboard tube. Whether you are drawing it yourself (like i did) or printing it.

Step 3: Step 3: Poke Out the Holes and Cut It Out.

Now, hopefully, you have marked out where the holes/stars are, otherwise it will be difficult for you. Be careful, if you push to hard you will make your hole too big. After you have finished that, cut it out with extra 'tags' on the sides a you need to tape it. If you want you can add extra holes for more stars.

Step 4: Step 4: Finish It Off

Finally, tape the paper to the cardboard tube, you can also glue the tabs around the side of the tube. Wait till nighttime and place it over the lit up torch on the floor. (To add the galaxy effect you can add different color cellophane to the paper.) Also, if the torch just shines through the paper, use thicker paper or add several sheets of paper to it.
