Introduction: Corn That Pops – DIY and Healthier Way
As the title suggests, this is
the healthiest way to make popcorn. Or this may just be my opinion because you don’t use microwaves nor unhealthy ingredients like the butter taste from those microwave go-to bags which is proved that long exposure causes lung cancer. Also, the amount of oil is reduced to minimum and can be replaced with butter (tastier).
I also recommend this method if you have a canon at disposal.

Step 1: Gather the Ingredients
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of Oil or less – Make sure it does not drown the corn
Popcorn – comes in small bags which can make a big bucket (the ones you buy from the movie theaters)
Flavor: Add cheese or butter (this replaces the oil), hot pepper or whatever comes through your mind
Step 2: Proceed to Cooking
I used an iron cauldron.Witch style. Now I know some may not have this in their kitchen, but it can be replaced with any other iron pot.
Place your ingredients and mix very well.
Put the pot on the stove and cover it with a lid, so you won’t popcorn all over your kitchen. Use the heater at medium to high and cook until the time between pops it’s more than 5-7 seconds.
Step 3: Enjoy Your Work
Simple as that. Now all you have to do is enjoy your movie.

i never use microwave popcorn, and this recipe is pretty much what you find on the directions of any popcorn bag that you buy,. But, it is surprising to me how many of my kids' friends have never had stove popped corn. We are "old school," apparently.
