Introduction: Crayon Painting

Hi, my name is Victoria Rogers, and today I’m going to show you how to do a crayon art painting. I have been doing wall paintings for the last 6 years. I have been showing other people how to do this painting and everyone has enjoyed it. Many people like to have crafty things on their wall, and I think this is an easy thing to do. After showing you these six easy steps you will be able to make your own crayon painting.

Step 1: Gather Supplies

The first thing is to get materials. For material, need a canvas (any
size you want), hot glue gun, hair dryer, crayons (as many that fit the canvas), and newspaper can get all of these materials at local stores. For crayons do not use crazy art ones, use Crayola crayons.

Step 2: Sort Through Crayons Out on Canvas

Secondly, sort through the crayons so they are ready to go on the canvas. Crayons can go on any way. When done sorting through the crayons they will be put on the canvas. Then plug in the hot glue gun to make sure it is hot. Be careful when checking this. Try squeezing it on a piece of paper to make sure it is coming out correctly.

Step 3: Glue on Crayons

After making sure the glue gun is hot then going to take each crayon once at a time and hot glue it to the canvas. In this process, do not want to put too much glue on the crayon. If putting on too much hot glue it can get everywhere and make a mess.

Step 4: Canvas at a Slant

Fourthly, put the canvas at a slant so that the wax will be able to drip down. This can be on a wall, chair, anything that the canvas can slant on.

Step 5: Use Hair Dryer

Last but not least take the hair dryer and put it directly onto the crayons while this goes on the wax should start to drip down. Make sure to keep the newspaper around so the wax does not get on the floor.

Step 6: Clean Mess

Clean up the mess that the wax has made it can get very messy. After that will have a finished project of a crayon painting.
