Introduction: Create Fire Anytime & Anywhere

About: I live in India. I am a student and I like to make any kind of stuff.

This is quite simple and the material is also easy to find. Today we are going to make fire using potassium permanganate and glycerine .this is a great survival hack and you can carry it while travelling. If you are going for camping and other things and you need fire you can easily create it by using this method.

NOW WHY THIS METHOD WORKS

Reduction-Oxidation Reactions, or Redox Reactions, are reactions that involve a transfer of electrons. Oxidizers such as Potassium Permanganate (KMnO4) take electrons, while Reducers such as Glycerin and Glycerol give electrons. When electrons are transferred between the reactants, it is usually by the transfer of oxygen atoms. This means that our glycerin/glycerol is Oxidised, or our KMnO4 is Reduced, Then one can see it as glycerin would receive oxygen atoms from the KMnO4. The KMnO4 is then "reduced", losing oxygen atoms, while the glycerin is "oxidised" or gains oxygen atoms.

Step 1: Step 1: Gathering the Material

All you will need is:

1) Glycerine

2) Potassium Permanganate

Step 2: Step 2:Setting Up the Process

First, pour some PP on the ground or anything. Make sure you pour it in the shape of a bowl. There should be a little free space in the centre for Glycerine.

the take out some Glycerin the cap.

Step 3: Step 3: the Making of Fire

now pour the glycerin in the centre, not more than 2-3 drops (depending on the quantity of pp).

wait for 10 sec and the reaction will take place.

Now take leaves paper or whatever you want to burn.

CAUTION- while the reaction is taking place maintain some distance.
