About: Hello all!!!! A warm Welcome and It's a pleasure to have you here. Art and Craft is my passion .I love experimenting new and creative ideas.

The Crochet Even Moss Stitch is a super easy stitch pattern that uses Half Double Crochets and Slip Stitches. Often simple Crochet Stitches combined with other stitches create a lovely textured new stitch. These Two Stitches worked together creates a beautifully thick and dense textured finish.

Today am sharing the tutorial on How To Make The Crochet Even Moss Stitch . This stitch works best for Crochet Washcloths and Dishcloths. Its a fairly quick and fast working stitch and suitable for large crochet projects like Crocheted Blankets, Mats , Rugs, Table Runners and Clothing Accessories.

Straight Edge Turning Chain:-

Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .

  1. Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
  2. Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  3. Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
  4. Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
  5. Lastly, yarn over and pull through all the 3 loops.
  6. This will make one Half Double Crochet.

Step 4:

Round 3:-

1 Half Double Crochet is already made with the Turning Chain.

1 Slip Stitch in the next stitch.

Repeat(1HDC, 1SL)

Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain mentioned in the previous round to make the Turning Chain.
