Our bath tub is in a corner. We spent many hours to find a fitting rod. In the end we made one ourselves, extremely cheep. The quality is fine, we have had this rod for 14 years. Theck out the video above!

This looks interesting, but seems to be missing some key information. How did you bend the PVC, for instance, and what function does the rebar have?
Some written step-by-step instructions would be very helpful for anyone that was interested in completing a similar curved shower rod like yours.

god this is a late response... but anyone still wondering... It works best, in my experience, by turning your oven on (I use broil hi/lo) and hold the pvc in with the door open. It will soften and bend, get a curve going, and work toward the middle from either side.

I was wondering about using pex instead of PVC. This is assuming your decor could handle red or blue. Downsides?

Rebars are made of iron, designed for construction of houses. It gives the strength. The electrical conduit protects the rebar from rusting. It also make a smooth white surface for moving the shower curtain.
I guess that I was able to curve the rebar with my body. Lack of strength - use a vice (my video).

They specify that they use PVC electrical conduit which is typically thinner wall because it's not pressurized and is probably more flexible than a standard plumbing PVC. The rebar is rigid enough that you can slide the PVC conduit over it and the PVC will retain the bend due to the rebar inside of it.
I haven't ever seen white PVC conduit in the USA, so you could heat the thicker plumbing PVC if needed to bend it. This could be done by means of steam from a tea kettle or pouring boiling water through the pipe.
