Cutting Board by Tyler Watson

In this instructable I talk about how I made a cutting board and how I made it.

Supplies

Wood, Sander, Plainer, Table saw, Mineral Oil, Edge cutter? Laser engraving machine.

Step 1: Step 1: Fusion360

I used fusion360 to design my overall cutting board online. I used the dimensions of 2 inches wide and 12 inches long on the board.

Step 2: Step 2: Getting Your Wood

I used 3 pieces of walnut wood and 2 pieces of maple. My two pieces of maple were 1 inch each and my two pieces of walnut at the edges were 1 inch as well and my walnut in the middle was 2 inch inches wide and 12 inches long.

Step 3: Step 3: Gluing the Wood Together.

In my third step I would glue the wood together.

Step 4: Step 4: Planning the Wood.

,.m,I would plain the wood on each side till it gets rid of the bumps and make it smooth.

Step 5: Step 5: Sanding

I used 100 to send my board .

Step 6: Step 6: Laser Engraving

We used the laser engraving machine to engrave my design on my cutting board.

Step 7: Step 7: Oiling the Board

We put mineral oil on the board so it would be nice.

Step 8: Step 8: Done With the Damn Thing

I am finally done with the damn board after my first was stolen and had to make a new one. Hopefully I get a good GRADE MR.B 😎
