Introduction: DC Electric Cardboard Generator
To make this generator you need a large nail 8cm or more, cardboard strip 8cm x 30.4cm, 4 1x2x5cm ceramic block magnets, 200ft of magnetic wire, and a 1.5 volt light bulb. Do not use different parts!
Step 1: Build Frame
The height of the frame is 3 1/2 and the length is 4 1/2 and the width is 1 1/2. Then you need to fold it into a square. Then, make a hole in the center of the frame with a nail through both sides.
Step 2: Make Magnet That Can Spin
Take four ceramic block magnets and tape them together and use hot glue for support. Then put a 8cm nail in the middle.
Step 3: Put Magnet in Frame
Take nail from between magnets, hold magnets in the middle of box, then insert nail through holes in cardboard and the hole where the nail was.
Step 4: Wrap Wire Around
Wrap the wire horizontally around the card board frame about 200 to 300 times. leaving two ends of wire sticking out to attach a 1.5 volt light bulb. After your done wrapping the wire around the the frame take sand paper and scrap the red stuff off the wire so it shows that copper color.
Step 5: Make Bulb Work
Continuously spin nail and magnets until the light glows make sure to do this in a dark room.
Step 6: What If It Doesn't Work
If the generator doesn't work it might be the magnets have something blocking the energy getting to the wires. Not enough wire could also be a problem. Try not to scrap the magnets against the cardboard it doesn't help it. Try to make the nail spin fast enough for the generator to produce electricity. If the light doesn't work use a bigger light bulb.
