About: I'm a Professional Writing student at Francis Marion University!

Hello!

Here is a video of how to make a DIY Ceramic Jewelry Box! I made it because as a student on a budget, I wanted a cheap but nice place to store my jewelry and I wanted to share it with others like me! This item is super easy to make, super cute and a super affordable option for jewelry storage. It should take around 10 minutes to complete this item.

Step 1: Materials

1 Hot Glue Gun with Glue ($5 from Walmart)

6 Pieces of Ceramic Tile ($0.16 each from Lowes)

3 Pieces of Felt ($1 for a pack of 14 from Dollar Tree)

Step 2: Plug in Hot Glue Gun

Plug in hot glue gun and wait 1 minute for it to get hot.

Warning! Glue is Hot!

Step 3: Lay Down Tile

Lay down 1 piece of ceramic tile with the polished side facing up (this will be the base piece)

Step 4: Glue Tile to Side of Base

Take another piece of tile and glue it to one side of the base.

Use a lot of glue! Make sure that the polished side is facing outward.

Step 5: Glue All Seams

Make sure to glue all inside and outside seams.

Try to put the glue on neatly and evenly.

Step 6: Repeat Steps 4 - 5

Repeat this step until there are 4 ceramic tiles glued to each side of the base.

Your final shape should be a box with an open top.

Now repeat those steps for the other 2 sides.

Cut off the extra pieces of felt when your done.

Step 10: Cut Second Piece of Felt

Take the second piece of felt and cut it in half down the longest side

Step 11: Cover Last Peice of Tile With Glue

Now take the last piece of unused ceramic tile and cover it with glue.

Step 12: Place Felt on Tile

Place the half square of felt on it.

This should be the box 's lid.

Step 13: Turn Box Upside Down

Turn the box upside down so that the open end is on the table.

Step 14: Place Glue on Bottom

Place glue on the bottom of the box base.

Glue should be the non-polished side.
