Intro: DIY Framed Tree Branches

Hello. I wanted to show you how you can easily make framed tree branches using only three ingredients: packaging cardboard corners, colored wood varnish and of course tree branches.

Tools you'll need: hand saw, hot glue gun, cutter, marker.

STEP 1: Cut the Cardboard Corners

Cut the cardboard corners to the desired length (use a ruler and a marker). We made square frames so we cut the cardboard corners in half. Use a hand saw or a cutter for the cuts. After cutting the cardboard, smooth the edges using sandpaper.

STEP 2: Glue the Cardboard Corners Into a Frame

We overlaid two of the sides on top of the other two so we had to cut about 4 mm of excess material in the back using a cutter. Glue the cardboard corners together using hot glue.

STEP 3: Paint Your Frame

Add some decorative rivets on the corners of the frame using hot glue drops. Apply two layers of colored wood varnish. We used rosewood varnish.

STEP 4: Fit the Branches Into the Frame

Prepare your branches to fit the frame. Start by laying the tree branches on the back of the frame. Move them up and down, switch their places until you are satisfied with the composition. Tree branches are beautiful so you can't go wrong. Trust your artistic eye. Then cut them to the right size so they fit inside the frame. Now glue them inside with got glue and you're done. Let me know how if you made one. Please vote for my instructable in "Three Ingredients Challenge". Thank you
