Introduction: DIY GoPro Tray

Hi there! I'm new to this forum and i want to share good things with you that I created for my GoPro camera.

I was looking on the internet to buy some tray mount, but guess what? The price for low quality one is around 40$ and for high quality prodacts is 60-110$. And I decided to make myself one, to look like professional.

Step 1: What You Need

Here we go what you need:

- 4mm Poplar Plywood (lighter than beech one and easier to cut)

- 4 M6 or 1/4" nuts

- 2 M6 x 20 or 1/4" maschine screws

- 2 bycicle handles (maybe some quality ones)

- PVC pipe 20mm or 3/4"

- More PVC stuff: 90° joint and 2 end-caps

- Some rubber

- Spray paint (I prefer matte finish)

- Wood glue

- Free time and be creative

*I have already made handles completely

Step 2: Designing Layout

First I started with designing mount in CorelDraw.

Step 3: Let's Start

Next I got scalpel into the hands and cut the printed layout and placed it on the plywood and than cut the plywood.

Step 4: More

Here is how it looks like with first coat of paint and then second coat. I have made a glossy finish in the middle of tray for the GoPro sticky mount with transparent varnish.

Step 5: And More

Did some drilling and mounting the handles.

Step 6: And More

Then I made wooden support for tray and painted in black and glued some rubber for better grip.

Step 7: Finished Product
