Introduction: DIY Stylus Pencil

Materials

-One pencil

-Scissors

-One regular sized balloon

-Tin foil

-A dowel that is about as thick as a pencil

-A pen

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Step 2: First Step Find a Pen That the Top Half Fits on Your Dowel

You need to have half the pen fit over top of you dowel so it can hide your tin foil. You will also need the grip from you pen so that all the tin foil is hidden.

Step 3: Now You Can Cut You Dowel

Cut you dowel long enough that you have enough room to grab it to write and enough for it to fit in the top of the pen. During this step you can also take your pencil and split it in half to get the pencil lead from it

Step 4: Drill the Hole for Your Pencil

Drill a hole in your dowel that is large enough to fit you pencil lead and make it deep enough that you can fit almost the whole piece in. You can either leave excess lead sticking out or you can sharpen the pencil later.

Step 5: Wrapping the Tin Foil

For this step you need to wrap the tin foil about 3/4 down the dowel with enough sticking off the top that it can be fed through the top of the pen where you will attach you "stylus" later.

Step 6: Now Attaching the Top Half of the Pen

Unscrew the top half of your pen and empty it out. Next slid it over top of the tin foil making sure you don't rip it and feed the top of the tinfoil through the hole where the clicker would have been. The next step is optional

Step 7: Painting

Now that you have assembled most of you stylus pencil wrap the tin foil in plastic wrap and then you can spray paint all of it what ever color you want. I chose black because that blended in with my pen.

Step 8: Finishing Up

Now that you have painted your project you can slide you pen grip over top of the tinfoil that sticks out from the pen top. This makes it look better as well as more comfortable to hold.

Step 9: Adding You Stylus

Add any extra tin foil that you need at the top of you pencil to make it the shape of stylus that you want. Next wrap a balloon around it so it doesn't scratch your screen. I secured mine with a piece of copper wire so it doesn't come off. If you have any other ideas feel free to try them and leave them down in the comments.

Step 10: Finished

You can use this stylus for your phone or other devices. If you run into any problems or have any questions please leave them down in the comments. If you have any other feed back or suggestions also leave those down in the comments.
