Introduction: DIY Washer Necklace

Materials:

  • Washers
  • Cord
  • Nail Polish

Tools:

  • Toothpicks

Step 1:

Paint a washer with nail polish. Let Dry.

Step 2:

After the washer is dry, tie it on the cord.

Step 3: Experiment 1

Use different colors to create patterns. Drag a toothpick through the colors to make swirls.

Step 4: Experiment 2

Layer different size washers together. Tie them together on the cord.

Step 5: Experiment 3

Add beads, ribbon or other items to the cord.

Step 6: Experiment 4

Use a key, a pull tab, or another found object. Try making your own necklace chord from fabric strips. Skip the nail polish for something more minimalist. What else can you use?
