Introduction: DIY'ers Ultimate Putty
For years I have always had Durhams on hand for quick fixes. Works great on dry rotted door thresholds. Can be used for many applications. Repairs to crafts and moldings.
Step 1: Supplies
Durhams water putty available at hardware and big box stores. e.g. Lowe's.
Putty knife
Water
Mixing container.
Also sand paper
Step 2: Mix It Up and Apply
It can be mixed thin or thick as plaster patch. I like a syrup consistency for hole fills and floor leveler. Once dry, it can be sanded and painted.
Step 3: Pilot Holes Using Finish Nails.
When your in a pinch and don't have small drill bits. I use finish nails for drilling pilot holes.
Great to share tips with others.
