Introduction: Decoupage Christmas Napkin on Mason Jar With Snow

There might be more than 1001 ways to decorate a mason jar and you may be among those that are a bit overwhelmed with seeing lots of crafty mason jars. I believe mason jars have moved from being "trendy" to a status of being "classic" in the crafting world. So yes, I'm here to say, mason jars are here to stay. So here I am showing you how to decorate a mason jar for winter or the holidays.

Materials used:

  • Mason Jar
  • White chalk paint
  • Decorative napkins
  • Mod podge
  • Paint brush
  • Plastic wrap
  • Snow-Tex
  • White glitter
  • Decorative trim

Step 1:

Paint mason jar using white chalk paint and let dry.

Step 2:

Separate the white backings from the printed napkin.

Brush mod podge onto the mason jar.

Step 3:

Place the napkin on top of the wet mod podge and then place plastic wrap on top of the napkin smoothing away any wrinkles out of the napkin as you work it around the mason jar.

Step 4:

Allow napkin to dry. A top coat of mod podge can be applied to the dried napkin as a sealer.

Step 5:

Snow-Tex is applied to the top and bottom of mason jar using a plastic knife.

Snow-Tex creates a realistic dimensional snow-like effect and dries permanently hard.

Step 6:

Decorative trim and stems were added to complete the look.
