Introduction: Delicious Clamatos

A hands on tutorial on how to make a traditional Mexican summer drink.

You can use this easy step-by-step approach to create delicious Clamatos any day. The taste of these beverages is refreshing in the morning. It can also be converted to an adult beverage with the addition of your choice of beer. The recipe below will feature the non-alcoholic version for all to enjoy!

Supplies

  • 16 oz Clamato juice original flavor
  • 2 limes
  • Tajin
  • 2 cups ice
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1\2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1\2 tsp Valentina salsa
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • knife
  • Large glass
  • Small plate

Optional

  • 1\4 cucumber
  • Tabasco
  • Green olives
  • lime squeezer

Step 1: Gather Materials

Gather your materials listed in the supplies list

Step 2: Prepare the Vegetables

Wash all items well and prepare a cutting board. Cut limes in half. Peel the cucumber and slice. Cut off the celery stems and tops.

Step 3: Rim the Glass

Add tajin to the top of the glass. To do so use a lime to cover the rim of the glass throughly in a circular motion. Pour tajin onto a small plate and press rim onto the plate.

Step 4: Add All Other Ingredients

Add ice to the glass. Then combine Clamato juice, lime juice, soy sauce, lemon pepper, Valentina salsa, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.

Optional - Add a few drops of Tabasco sauce if you want more spice.

Step 5: Add Garnish

Garnish with a stalk of celery, slice of lime, and cucumbers. Sprinkle Tajin and Valentina sauce on top.

Optional - add pitted olives
