Introduction: Delicious Strawberry Pound Cake Bliss

The first path to get to bliss is the making of the pound cake!

Materials Needed:

  • All Purpose Flour ( 3 cups )
  • 5 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • ½ cup of vegetable oil or shortening
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 16 tablespoons of butter

Step 1: Mixing It Up Part 1

Find a medium sized mixing bowl and sift the flour , baking soda , and salt together. Then find a large sized measuring cup about 4 cups worth and with a sturdy mixing spoon add your all the rest of your wet ingredients and and mix till it gives a creamy texture.

Step 2: Mixing It Up Part 2

Next is to begin pouring the creamy mixture into the mixing bowl with the dry ingredients and stir constantly until your batter is completely creamy with no lumps or any stray ingredients sticking along the edges.

Step 3: Time to Heat Things Up

Now that your pound cake batter is complete preheat your oven to 300 degrees. While you wait butter up your cake pan, once the oven is done heating up pour you batter into your buttered up cake pan and place into oven. Bake for 15 minutes then raise heat to 325 and bake for 1 hour&15 minutes.

Step 4: Making Strawberry Bliss

While your cake is baking take out the following ingredients to make some of the best strawberry sauce

Strawberry Sauce

  • 2 cartons of strawberries
  • A big sized skillet
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 cups of water
  • A side cup of water mixed with a tablespoon of flour
  • A grater
  • pure cane sugar ( about 2 cups worth )
  • 2 tablespoons of confectioner sugar

Once you have gathered all the materials wash of strawberries under cold water and then find a good knife to cut with. From the berries select about 7 or 10 Of the most appealing strawberries and set aside. Then for the rest cut off the leafy stems and then cut up the strawberries finely but still chunky. After that take your skillet put it on about 8 and let it come to a broil. Once it has ,put in your 2 cups of sugar and then lower heat to five. Stir your sugar well then wait 5 minutes before adding the strawberries.You should allow it to simmer down while stirring continually every 3 minutes till at least 15 minutes have gone by. Then add floured water to the pot and stir while raising heat to 7 and allowing it to thicken up. Once its thick lower heat onto low and then cut in half your 2 lemons and then squeeze the juice out of both into the sauce ( be careful that no seeds fall in). Then using your grater use one of your lemon and add come zest. Once this is done remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool for 10 minutes then transfer it to a large sized bowl or plastic container and put into the fridge to cool.

Step 5: Final Preparations for the Bliss Part 1

Once your pound cake has baked for its set time, remove from oven and set it aside to cool for 15 minutes. Once its cooled remove it on to a plate and then cut at least a quarter and a half of it and set it aside in a large plate. Then start crumbling it and then get a baking pan or small square cake pan, and layer the bottom about a inch thick with the crumbs. Press down the crumbs to make it firm then set it aside. Then go to the oven and set it on broil and put the crumbed layer inside and let it bake about 5 to 10 minutes. Once this is done remove the pan from the oven and get your strawberry sauce from the fridge. Layer your sauce onto the crumbs and fill it till is almost to the top but leave a little room for the upcoming step.

Step 6: Final Prep Part 2

Finally you will need to put upon you final touch which is a layer of whipped cream which you can choose to simply buy or make from scratch. Spread the whipped cream over the layer of strawberry sauce an then get the strawberries set aside from earlier, cut them each in half ,and decorate as desired. Once your done immediately put it into the freezer for it to set and freeze for at least 5 hours. Then once that is done you take it out and do what every human should do with such a yummy dessert......EAT IT !!!!!!!
