Introduction: Disable SignIn Button on Office 2016

About: Hi there! After living in Japan for 25 years, I've picked up a few useful PC survival tricks. Given the time it took me to learn, I thought I'd post some of them so that they may help others avoid similar prob…

The above screenshots are from Office 2013 and just to give you an idea.

Microsoft Office 2016 - Disable Sign In Button

Unlike Office 2013 (version 15.0), the registry no longer has a SignIn entry to change the Sign In button.
It's not a problem and the solution is very similar to previous versions.

Open the registry:
Click Start > Run > regedit.exe

Click your way to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ (Note: 16.0, not 15.0)

You will see NO entry named "SignIn" unlike previous Office versions...
So do the following:

Right click on "Common" entry. (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\)
Create a new entry. Select New > Key & rename it as "SignIn" (Case sensitive).

Enter the "SignIn" entry & right click the right panel, on the screen.
Create a new entry. New > DWORD (32-bit) Value & rename as "SignInOptions" (Case sensitive).

Double click "SignInOptions" & enter the value 3 & click OK.

Close down & Restart PC... Should be gone!

If this helps, then great.
If it doesn't help or you have a stupid, mean comment... Please, keep it to yourself. It just makes you look stupid, not me.
