Introduction: Dog House
I made a wooden dog house because I needed extra credit for my engineering class and I also made it for a project in my agriculture class.
Supplies
The supplies I used were wood, paint, glue, screws, drills, saws, sealant, an air vent, measuring tapes, and a T-square measuring tool.
Step 1:
1. I drew out the plans for getting the materials.
Step 2:
2. I drew out the estimated measurements for the house.
Step 3:
3. I went to Lowes to get all of the materials.
Step 4:
4. I measured the walls of the house first with a measuring tape.
Step 5:
5. I then drew the measurement lines with a t-square.
Step 6:
6. I measured the roof pieces.
Step 7:
7. I cut out the wall pieces.
Step 8:
8. I cut out the entrance in the front wall piece.
Step 9:
9. I drilled the walls and cut the walls.
Step 10:
10. I cut out the feet pieces to hold the house off the ground.
Step 11:
11. I marked where to cut the bracing pieces.
Step 12:
12. I cut out the wall bracing pieces.
Step 13:
13. I marked out the air vent placement on the back wall.
Step 14:
14. I cut out an area where the air vent was going to go.
Step 15:
15. I then screwed in the air vent where I cut it.
Step 16:
16. I then started screwing the wall pieces together.
Step 17:
17. I started screwing the roof pieces together.
Step 18:
18. I then started putting sealant around the house's edges and the small openings in the wood.
Step 19:
19. I sprayed primer to make the roof white.
Step 20:
20. I then painted the rest of the house with grey paint.
