Introduction: Double Check Laser Aligner

For some time working exhaustively in technical assistance, I decided to change my job and become a quality inspector in one of the construction and development companies for agricultural machinery and accessories; in such factory/company; the employees who play a brilliant role there in the construction of machines "faced" a problem regarding the alignment of pulleys; I developed on my own a simple and very efficient laser aligner; considering that the aligners we have in Brazil are expensive (such as the SKF brand).
Well, I would like to share this knowledgat I call T01; Thank you very much in advance!!!

So that the construction of such equipment can occur; I indexed the photos of the components in Portuguese

Step 1: Presentation and Gift

Of course, the first step towards building our pulley aligner is in its original format, I will make the case files available to you in STL for printing on a 3D printer, I will also make a small exploded view of the aligner available, so that you can see from now on where each one fits.

Step 2: Laser Fixation Procedure

Before we get into practice, it is necessary to fix the laser well and for this I used a superglue, such as tekbond or derived from acrylate-based glues (superbond), then I positioned the beater and (a small millimetered piece made on the 3D printer; in a can of uncrushed Nescal (of course...), in order to ensure that the glue dries I added a little salt, which in this case will act on the molecules of acrylates as a gap "filler" - thus transforming the combination of super glue + table salt into a somewhat resistant and extremely quick-drying composite!!!

Step 3: Some Details...

before actually "sticking" the magnets to the back of the aligner (laser head) with super glue, it will be necessary to sand this side; What I tell you is... first assemble the entire laser scope and then, after everything is fixed, sand with infinite movements (or in figure eights) to better roughen the printing lines; You can see the result in the photo I made available, clearly and extremely smooth and uniform... then... you can glue the 3 magnets into the holes very carefully and carefully!!!

Step 4: Time of Distress... of the Test, in Other Words...

The project was better than expected.... I can say that there were around 5 to 7mm of unevenness between pulleys; It is worth remembering that this tool is proof that the "aluminum rulers" are not as straight as expected in professional alignments; remember, misalignment can mean a form of torsion and if it is not previously observed, it can initiate a process of premature wear on the belts that go on the machine's pulley system; This is because, a lot of torque is carried out on such cultivation machine pulleys.
