Introduction: Dry Fruits Laddu | Dates Laddu
Dry fruits laddu is a sugar-free healthy Indian sweet. In this instructable, I walk you through the steps to prepare these laddus using easily available ingredients.
Preparation Time: Around 30 minutes
Shelf life: 15 - 20 days in an airtight container
Step 1: Ingredients
- Dates - 1 cup
- Cashewnuts - 1/4 cup
- Almonds - 1/4 cup
- Raisins - 1/4 cup
- Pistachio (optional)
- White sesame seeds (if required)
- Ghee - 1 Tsp
- Cardamom powder - 1 Tsp
Step 2:
- De-seed the dates (not applicable in case of seedless dates)
- Dry blend the dates coarsely
- Finely chop almonds, cashew nuts and pistachio
Step 3: (Optional)
Roast the white sesame seeds for about two minutes
Step 4:
- Take a frying pan
- Add 1 tablespoon ghee
- Now add chopped cashew nuts, almonds, pistachio and raisins
- Fry them until the colour turns golden brown
- Add the coarsely blended dates to the mixture and stir them well
- For aroma, add some cardamom powder
- Continue mixing for less than a minute and turn off the flame
Step 5:
- Allow the mixture to cool for few minutes but don't let it cool down completely as this would make the mixture hard
- Start making the laddus
- Roll them over roasted white sesame (if required)
- Ready to eat :)
