Today I'm going to show you how to create a duct tape wallet!

Step 1: Supplies

-ruler or -cutting mat ($10 at wal-mart) You'll need any one of these -Scissors -box cutter -x-acto knife -razor blade with handle (If you don't have any of these you can always hand rip the tape) Optional -Parchment paper -Clear plastic -Packaging tape -card for measurement

Step 2: Cutting First Strips

First you'll need to cut 8 pieces of duct tape that are 7.5 inches long For mine the dark blue are going to be the outside of the bill fold and the white are the inside part of the wallet (not the bill fold) the black is the inside of the bill fold (You don't have to follow this just know that 4 are going to be on the outside of the bill fold and 4 are going to be on the inside of the bill fold)

Step 3: Attaching Strips

Now you'll need to attach the pieces to create the wallet. To do that lay one piece with the sticky side facing up (blue one) and lay another on top (black one) with about 1/4 of an inch over hang. Lay the next piece (blue) on the over hang and continue until all the pieces are connected then fold over the over hang on both ends. (After I used the blue ones I switch to the white ones) fold the wallet in half were the second strip ends You will have to trim the wallet to get the ends to be even

Step 4: Sides

Now you'll need a 4in strip cut in half. Now fold the wallet in half and tape one side of the wallet, flip it over and tape the other leaving half an inch over hang then fold the overhang in to the wallet to avoid ripping. Repeat on other side

Step 5: Card Pockets

To create card Pockets you need to cut out a strip that is 3.5 inches and a 4in strip attach them like you did before but you should have 1/4 inch over lap on 3sides. Fold over the over lap where there is only one sticky side showing and attach to wallet.

Step 6: ID Slot

For an ID slot you'll need clear plastic (you can use a sheet protector or card protectors) cut the plastic so it lines up with the card (i used an old middle school ID) and add strips of that that are about a 4th wide and then fold over one side and apply to wallet

Step 7: Adding Decorations

You can add decorations to the front but you will need to go over it with clear tape. Use an x-acto knife to get detailed pictures or draw on parchment paper and cut out with scissors
