Intro: EASY WEAVING

Warning: This little loom may be habit forming!

I purchased this Weavete loom from buxton looms on line last year. Pictured here are my first squares. The each take about 15 min to make . There are a ton of 50's vintage patterns availble for baby clothes, skirts jackets, quilts like blankets etc. There's also great NEW pattern books that have hundreds of great textures to try.
I used Lion brand magic stripes to get the PLAID! SO much fun, and SOOO easy!

Thanks . It's fascinating that You've found such a creative way to weave ! I have taught many boys to knit/weave and they love it just as much as the girls do. Historically, I believe that women were not allowed to weave. The women spun the yarn, the men wove the fabric. Glad you copied your wife's loom instead of borrowing hers !
I remember all the fun I had when I was a child with a play loom. Maybe I should take up weaving as well as knitting. it looks like a lot of fun
It is a lot of fun- and surprisingly , I had never seen a loom like this one before. The square that can be made are fascinating- so many textures to try!
Beautiful work! I have always wanted a giant loom, but where would I put it? Your projects are so pretty but seem like they would be easy to fit into a regular house. :)
These are really great. I've recently purchased a couple of sets of the Knifty Knitter looms and as a non-knitter, I absolutely love looming! I've always been a crocheter, but my joints can't take too much of that anymore and looming is such a great alternative. Thanks so much for sharing! Olyve...(O: ><>
