Intro: EGGHEADS

I just finished this painting/craft project with my 2nd graders in ART class. They loved it because they thought their finished work looked like Lego's!

STEP 1: Supplies

12X12 egg carton

tempera paint

brushes

water bucket

sharpie marker

STEP 2: Painting

Select a color to paint background of carton and paint in a few "Bumps"

choose 2 bumps to paint white for the eyes, preferably leaving a blank in between.

Next mix a skin tone and paint a face area.

Hair needs to be a slightly darker color to paint over the edge of the skin (to create a face shape)

then fill in the area for the rest of the hair.

STEP 3: Painting Features

choose colors to paint eyes, lips, nose

finally use the sharpie to "enhance" any details.

The hardest part of this project is collecting enough egg cartons

These are so cute! There's something very endearing about these egghead characters. Thank you for sharing the fun idea. :)

BTW, it looks like you have a couple of empty steps at the end (Step 4 & 5). You can just delete them if you don't have any more info to add to this 'ible.
