· 2 tablespoons of sugar

· 1 tablespoon of brown sugar

· A few drops teaspoon of vanilla extract

· 1 egg yolk

· 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

· 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder

Step 1: The Cookie Base

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a bowl (approximately 45 seconds in the microwave). Be careful not to overheat and boil the butter.

Once melted, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and a few drops of vanilla.

Carefully separate 2 eggs, add the egg yolks, and discard the egg whites.

How to Separate Egg Yolks

Method 1

  • Carefully crack the egg into your hand to make sure the yolk does not pop.
  • Move the egg back and forth between your hands, and allow the egg white to slowly seep through your fingers until the yolk is all the remains.

Method 2

  • Carefully crack the egg in half, and separate the shell into 2 halves.
  • Move the egg back and forth between the two shell halves, allowing the egg white to slowly spill off until only the yolk remains.

Slowly add and mix in 6 tablespoons of flour.

Lastly, mix in 3 tablespoons of chocolate chips, and set
aside.

Step 2: The Brownie

In a separate bowl, melt 2 tablespoons of butter (45 seconds in the microwave). Be careful not to overheat and boil the butter.

Once melted, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, and a few drops of vanilla.

Carefully separate 1 egg, and the egg yolk, and discard the egg whites.

Slowly stir and mix in 3 tablespoons of flour and 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder.

Lastly, mix in 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips.

Step 3: The Finale

Add all of the brownie mix to the cookie base bowl.

Settle and smooth out the mixture.

Microwave the brookie mix for approximately 1 minute and 20 seconds, and add 15 second increments if it is not finished (varies from bowl size and microwave). It will be cooked through when the top surface sets, does not jiggle, and appears matte.

Wait a minute for it to cool off, and then enjoy! (Topping it off with ice cream is incredible!)
