Here's my instructable on the cute crochet ghost plushie I made recently!

This project idea came in perfect time since I have both been enjoying some spooky ghost-themed shows and Halloween is right around the corner!

This little fella makes a perfect gift and can be whipped up within a couple of hours or so. It's also very beginner friendly as it only consists of a few simple stitches!

Abbreviations:

Sc = Single crochet

Dc = Double crochet

Inc = Increase

Trcr = Triple crochet

Hdc = Half-double crochet

Supplies

Here's what you'll need for this project!

Red Heart Yarn ( 4 ply ) ( In white and pink )
4.0mm Crochet hook
Stuffing or scrap yarn ( I used a little of both)
Yarn needle
Stitch marker
Scissors

Step 1: The Body

(In main color)

Row 1: Place 6 Sc in a magic ring

Row 2: *Inc* around (12)

Row 3: *Sc 1, inc* around (18)

Row 4: *Sc 2, inc* around (24)

Row 5: *Sc 3, inc* around (30)

Row 6: *Sc 4, inc* around (36)

Row 7-17: Sc 11 rows

Step 2: The "frills"

Row 18: *Hdc 1, Dc 1, Trcr 1, Dc 1, Hdc 1, slip stitch* repeat around

Fasten off and cut a short tail. the tail from thr bottom will be the one used in attaching the two pieces together.

Step 3: The Bottom

(In main color)

Row 1: Place 6 Sc in a magic ring

Row 2: *Inc* around (12)

Row 3: *Sc 1, inc* around (18)

Row 4: *Sc 2, inc* around (24)

Row 5: *Sc 3, inc* around (30)

Row 6: *Sc 4, inc* around (36)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing later.

Step 4: The Eyes and Cheeks

Place the eyes 11 rows down and 5 stitches apart.

( With white yarn I pulled the eyes in just a tad so it gives it a cuter look )

For the cheeks, take your pink yarn and thread it through the yarn needle. Then make a dash shape right below both eyes. weave the yarn through the opposite site to then cut and hide in your piece.

Step 5:

Place the bottom piece on the underneath of the ghost. You will have to use the yarn from the bottom piece (step 3) to sew it on. Put similarly placed stitches back and forth through the body and the bottom as shown in the photos above. Stuff your piece firmly before ending your project (about 5 stitches before completion).
