Introduction: Easy DIY Cheap Portable Phone Charger

What You'll need:

-9v battery (with wire clips)

-Car charger

-USB phone charger

-Electrical tape

-Small Philips head screwdriver

Step 1: Take Apart the Car Charger

-Use the screwdriver to take out the screws on the bottom of the charger to expose the circuit board

Step 2: Attaching the Wires

-take the red wire, from the battery, and attach it to the top of the circuit board. There should be a small arch at the top of the board, wrap the wire around it.

-take the black wire and attach it to the side of the circuit board (on the USB port). There should be a small prong on the side of the circuit board, make a loop with the black wire and slide it on.

-once the wires are connected, the light at the bottom of the charger should turn on.

Step 3: Organize the Charger

-Use electrical tape to attach the circuit board to the 9v battery so it stays in place.

-Find a small case for the charger.

Step 4: Charging the Phone

-Simply connect the USB phone charger into the USB port of the car charger's circuit board. Make sure the light on the circuit board is on, and you will be able to charge your phone.
