Intro: Easy DIY Decorative Hot Glue Coasters

Today I'm gonna show you how to make simple decorative coasters with some hot glue.

STEP 1: Base Coasters

So to start, get your hot glue gun preheating. Then layout a sheet of parchment paper. Once your glue gun is preheated start by making big flat circles on your parchment paper with your hot glue. Then let them dry.
If you don't want decorative coasters and just want translucent coasters skip to step 4.

STEP 2: Decorating Your Coasters

Take your String and/or Sequins/glitter and arrange it on top of your hot glue circles in a pattern of your choice.
You may need to use little spots of hot glue as you go to secure your String and keep it in said pattern, if you chose to use String.

STEP 3: Sealing Your Decorative Pattern With a Second Layer of Hot Glue

Once you've got your decorative pattern how you want it, take your hot glue gun and put a second layer of hot glue over top your whole coaster encasing your pattern in your coaster.
Once you have completed this step you may unplug or power off your hot glue gun.

STEP 4: Finishing Up Your Coasters

Once the hot glue has completely finished drying, remove the coasters from the parchment paper. Then take your Scissors and trim around the edges of your coasters, cleaning them up and making the look nicer.

STEP 5: All Finished

You have successfully made your own DIY decorative hot glue coasters. Your coasters can now be used as a functional decoration. They function to keep your table clean and they make it look good while they protect it.
I hope you found this interesting and enjoyable and I hope you had fun making your own DIY decorative hot glue coasters.
