This instructable will show you how to make an easy and cheap, yet powerful crossbow. It's pretty easy to build and it only takes 5-10 minutes.

Step 1: Materials

The materials you need will vary depending on how you want to build your crossbow and what you have available in your house. Materials: - A wooden board about a 1 1/2 feet long - Two wooden dowels - A rubber band Tools: - A drill - Lots of duct tape

Step 2: Making the Base

The base of the crossbow is the wooden board and it will need to be about an inch thick. Once you have cut the board you need to drill holes on each side to stick the wooden dowel in. Next you will have to glue the dowels in, you can use tacky glue or elmers glue, but I would recommend wood glue.

Step 3: Attaching the String

This step is very simple, all you have to do is cut the rubber band and tie each end on each wooden dowel.

Step 4: The Arrows

For the arrows all you have to do is cut the wooden dowel to about a foot and a half long and then you can shoot. Also if you want you can sharpen the arrows like I did.
