Intro: Easy to Make DeskTop Easel

Here is an easy to make easel, one that is collapsible, easy to store and carry, and is very inexpensive to make (essentially nothing if you have a few basic materials lying around.  Not only can it suffice as an easel, I use it for a copy stand when I want to copy something
that is too large to scan.  Using a few pieces of cardboard, a piece or two of wood, one piece of 1/8 inch pressboard for the support arm, and some paint if desired, this can be made in a very short period of time.  I priced some easels and they start at around $50 or so.  For short term, occasional use, this fills the bill admirably. You can adjust dimensions depending on your own needs.  Size is not that important.

Neat! Very resourceful! I like seeing how people make their own versions of overpriced products. Or make a version that is better suited to their needs.
This is such a good idea! I like it. I'm going to make this as I am an artist and
this will be very handy for me . cheers **** jakyo :-)
