Introduction: Fun and Easy Snow Ice Cream in 3 Simple Steps!!!

When I was a kid, growing up in Upstate NY, I used to wish that all snow was ice cream. What if I told you that all snow could become ice cream with about 20 minutes of time and a few ingredients that you already have in the house? This is a great project for kids to help with too!

Supplies

What you will need:
A large mixing bowl
A spoon to stir with
A measuring cup
A 1/2 cup measure
A tsp measure
A few airtight containers
An ice cream scoop

Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup milk (it doesn't matter what fat level)
8-10 cups fresh, white, snow ( make sure it isn't yellow)
1 tsp vanilla extract

Step 1: Adding the Ingredients

First, make sure you have a bowl full of snow. At this point, you will want to act quickly so that the snow doesn't melt. Next, add the milk. Carefully measure the sugar and add that. Lastly, add the vanilla extract. Once you have added everything, stir it all together thoroughly. My little siblings love to help with this part! Depending on how much snow you used, you might need to add a little more milk. That will help it clump together better!

Step 2: Serve

When the ice cream comes together, you can either serve it immediately, or wait for later. When serving, scoop desired amount into a bowl. You may add any desired toppings at this time.

Step 3: Saving for Later

If you decided to wait and not serve it immediately, or you had leftovers, you will want to store the ice cream in airtight containers and freeze it. When you come back to eat it. It will be very hard, so you might have to slightly thaw it in the microwave.
