Electromagnetic Generator

Design and construct an electromagnetic generator using the supplies in your kit and/or supplies from home. The generator should convert mechanical energy into electrical energy to power at least one LED.

Step 1: Step 1

Start the project with a 10"x5" foam platform. Make a ramp piece that can fit the motor and be inserted into a pre-cut hole in the main platform.

Step 2: Step 2

Make a handle from popsicle sticks and hot glue it to disc.

Step 3: Step 3

Attach motor to center of disc, and connect LED to the wires of the motor.

Step 4: Step 4

Connect motor to ramp and connect ramp to platform. Route cable through opening that goes under that platform.

Step 5: Step 5

Cut out a slit at the end of the platform and wedge the wire and LED in there.
