Elements & Zodiac Signs - Keychain Holder

Did you know your Zodiac signs has a 1-1 mapping with the 4 Classical Elements (Fire, Water, Earth & Air)? In this simple project, I will share the connection between your Zodiac Signs and these Elements

Fire (Red) - Aries, Leo & Sagittarius

Water (Blue) - Cancer, Pisces & Scorpio

Earth (Green) - Taurus, Virgo & Capricorn

Air (Yellow) - Aquarius, Gemini & Libra

Supplies

1. 11 inches wood piece

2. 12 Tumbling blocks

3. Acrylic paints (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow & Black)

4. Paint brush

5. Wood glue

6. Thumbtacks

Step 1: Gather the Materials

As a first step, I collected all the materials and tried to arrange the wooden blocks in the best possible order. After this I painted the base wooden block in black (pic 2). This is one of the leftover pieces of my woodwork and I found it sturdy and easy to rest on.

Step 2: Color the Wooden Blocks

These 12 cute little blocks are grouped into 4 consisting of 3 each. 1 group for 1 element. Then, I colored the blue, yellow, green and red blocks (pics 2-7). Left it in the open untouched for nearly 30 minutes. Acrylic paints dry quickly and are mostly hassle free.

Step 3: Getting the Element 'Air' Ready

As you have seen the elements and zodiac signs are spread as per our calendar months, I started with getting the Air (Yellow) with Libra, Aquarius & Gemini. Let it dry.

Step 4: Getting the Element 'Earth' Ready

As you have seen the elements and zodiac signs are spread as per our calendar months. Next batch was with getting the Earth (Green) with Taurus, Virgo & Capricorn ready. Let it dry.

Step 5: Getting the Element 'Water' Ready

As you have seen the elements and zodiac signs are spread as per our calendar months. Next batch was with getting the Water (Blue) with Cancer, Pisces & Scorpio ready. Let it dry.

Step 6: Getting the Element 'Fire' Ready

As you have seen the elements and zodiac signs are spread as per our calendar months. Next batch was with getting the Fire (Red) with Aries, Leo & Sagittarius ready. Let it dry. With this all the elements blocks and the corresponding zodiac are completed.

Step 7: Keychain Holder Is Ready

As a last step I finally glued all these blocks using wood glue and placed these in the order. Then, glued this block on the wall. Decorated with 2 keychains. What is your Zodiac sign and what is the matching element? Have fun!!!
