Introduction: Elf Bites Shortbread Cookies
Tiny little bites of shortbread goodness. Great to give on a cookie plate or alone in a coloured cellophane bag. Makes 64 cookies.
Step 1: You Will Need
To make these cookies you will need
A medium sized bowl
Measuring cups
Measuring Spoons
Rolling Pin
Fork
Cookie Sheet
Pizza Cutter (a knife will work too)
Flour
White Sugar
Butter or Margarine
Coloured Sugar Sprinkles (I chose red)

Step 2: Preheat
Preheat your oven to 325F degrees or 160C
Step 3: Step 1
Measure out
1 1/4 cups flour
3 Tbsp. sugar
Combine in bowl

Measure out
1/2 cup butter or margarine
Add to mixture and mix until crumbly.

Measure out
2 Tbsp. coloured sugar sprinkles
Mix into dough

Step 6: Step 4
Dump dough mixture onto cookie sheet.
Roll or press out dough into a square shape.
Using the pizza cutter (or knife) cut the square of dough into 64 pieces.
7 horizontal cuts and 7 vertical ones.

Spread cookies out on cookie sheet.
Place in preheated oven for 12-14 minutes or until cookie bottoms are a golden brown.
Remove from oven and cool.
Makes 64 cookies
These go great with a hot cup of tea!
Recipe can be doubled/tripled.
Freezes well.
