Introduction: Eliminate HDD Vibration

I bought a new 1tb hard disk for 50€. But in the PC it is the loudest component. I'll show you how to make the HDD silent.

Step 1: You Need:

You only need a unused 5" drive space, a sponge and the vibrating HDD.

Step 2: How To?

I used 2 sponges, split each in half. Put the sponges around the hard disk. Finish!

    How does it effect the drives temperature? Surely all that padding hinders air flow

    If Crystaldiskinfo is correct, the used WD Blue 1tb is 43°C warm, and my SSD 44°C. I believe without the fix my HDD had a temperature of ~34-40°C.
