Introduction: Fidget Balls

Fidget Balls provide a satisfying distraction as you move the balls around each other.

They may also improve hand circulation and finger mobility.

Supplies

4 Aluminium beverage cans

2 125g tin cans

2 neodymium magnets

glue

Tools

Tin snips

Bastard file

Leather Work gloves

Step 1: Make a Concave Shape

  • File the base off a Beverage can using Bastard cross cut file. This won't take as long as you think it will.
  • Tap out the base piece. This will produce a concave shape.
  • Repeat with 3 other beverage cans.

Step 2: File If Required

  • File off any rough edges if required.

Step 3: Now for the Tin Can Lids

  • Remove the tops from 2 small 125 g tin cans.
  • Remove the pull tab from the lids.
  • Wearing leather work gloves for hand protection, cut towards the centre of the lids around the circumference.
  • Work the cut tin lids into 2 of the concave aluminium bases.

Step 4: Add Magnets

  • Glue on a neodymium magnet to the centre of the two remaining aluminium bases.

Step 5: Pour in Cement

  • Make up a bowl of cement.
  • Pour cement into to concave aluminium bases.
  • Join together either using the cement of let the halves set and then join together with glue.

Step 6: How to Use

  • The fidget balls are placed in a hand and moved about. They can also be spun and twirled about.
