Introduction: Fish Spear
4 prong fish spear, easy to make.
Supplies
Straight sapling about as tall as the person using it around 6-7cm diameter. twine. strong, sharp knife. 9cm long spreader sticks.
Step 1: Stick Choice
Choose a tall, straight sapling 6-7cm diameter. cut the end of so its flat.
Step 2: Making the Splits 2-3
Make a split down the middle by hitting your knife down with something hard, then make another split making the end into quarters.
Step 3:
Wrap twine around the sapling 15cm down the splits you have already made. Finishing the split up to the lashing.
Step 4: Spreader Sticks 4-6
Carve to small sticks just longer than the width of the sapling.
Step 5:
Slide the spreaders one at a time through the splits down to the twine.
Step 6:
Wrap twine around the spreader sticks in a figure of eight, holding them down.
Step 7: Sharpening
Sharpen all four ends of the prongs until they are very sharp and pointy.
Step 8: End Product
by the end it should look something like this.
