Supplies

1/2" Plywood

Wood Dowels

Step 1: The Concept

A space was needed in the garage to work on projects. The work space needed to be put away "flat" against the wall adjacent to my car. The solution is a series of french cleats and dowels to form a flexible work space.

Step 2: Construction

The wall unit is made of 2 plywood panels with french cleats on them. One panel is fixed. the other is removed from the wall and is supported with a cleat and by the two "storage towers" that are removed and placed on the floor. The wall unit is now a work table.

Step 3: Work Space Assembly

When each element is removed, it reveals function beneath. The "table" is removed to reveal more cleats on the wall. The towers are removed to reveal a panel of holes for dowel storage.

The storage boxes in the "towers" are removed and placed on the wall using their own cleats. The function of these boxes is a wide range and their locations are highly flexible based on your current needs.

Step 4: In Use
