Floating Island

Hello, today i will show you how to build a floating island.

Step 1: Materials

You will need

Grass
Stone


(Optional)

Sapling
Cobblestone
Flowers
Buckets of water
Furnace bed glass panes
Wood planks

Step 2: Blocking Up

Start by blocking up untill you have the right height for your island, mine is about 30 blocks high.

Step 3: Building the Island

Place a stone square 3x3 on top of the tower of blocks you used to block up, then add 3 more blocks each side of the stone, see picture above, break the tower of blocks.

Step 4: Layer 2

Go around the sides of the stone copy the picture above.

Step 5: Layer 3

Build on top of layer 2, as in the picture above.

Step 6: Layer 4

Go around the sides of layer 3, like in the picture above.

Step 7: Filling the Hole in Layer 4

Fill the rest of layer 4 with grass

Step 8: Decorating (optional)

This step is optional. Build a small house on the island 5x4 with cobblestone and wood planks. Use glass panes for the windows. Plant a sapling on the island. cut a hole in the grass and fill it with water, place some lilly pads on the water. use bonemeal on the grass to make tall grass grow. Plant some flowers.
