Introduction: Ford Ranger 2.5" Leveling Kit Install 2019-2022

Get the leveling kit here

Step 1: Remove Skit Plate

Remove the 4 skid plate bolts

Step 2: Disconnect Power Steering Connectors

Disconnect the 3 connectors

Step 3: Remove ABS Sensor & Brake Hose

Remove ABS sensor bracket and sensor, then the brake hose bracket

Step 4: Disconnect Sway Bar & Tie Rod

Disconnect the tie rod and sway bar from steering knuckle

Step 5: Disconnect Upper Ball Joint

Disconnect upper ball joint from steering knuckle

Step 6: Remove Upper and Lower Strut Nuts

Remove the 2 bottom and 3 top nuts securing the strut

Step 7: Remove Strut

Use a pry bar and push down on the lower control arm to remove the strut

Step 8: Remove Strut Studs

lightly torch the lower strut bolts and hammer them out

Step 9: Install Strut Spacer Studs

Install the provided studs into the strut spacer

Step 10: Install Spacer Then Strut

Install the spacer onto the top of the strut with the 3 factory nuts, then place the strut back into the truck

Step 11: Install Lower Bolts

Install the 2 lower strut bolts, lightly tap them into the strut until they stop, then spray some lubricant onto the splines. Install the 2 nuts on the bottom and tighten them to draw the bolts through the strut and properly tightening them.

Step 12: Connect Upper Ball Joint

This part can be tricky, but pull down on the upper control arm and install the nut onto the ball joint

Step 13: Install Strut Top Nuts

Install the 3 provided nuts onto the strut studs

Step 14: Reconnect the Rest

Finally, reconnect the tie rod, sway bar, brake hose and ABS sensor.
