Introduction: Free Sampling; Electronics

This is my first 'ible so please rate me!
Ok, to start, who doesn't like free stuff??!! I am a sucker for bonuses and other free stuff and I found a few 'ibles that gave you a list of websites that send you free samples, and I was ecstatic. I order a bunch but only some came, and I also had the problem that some either no longer offered free samples or I couldn't find where to order them, so I found the best websites that offer them and I made not only a list of them but comments on how to order them. I would also like you to know that I DO NOT have a company email address therefore you don't need a company email address to order any of these. Also I am not responsible for any bills that you get from companies that you may have accidentally ordered instead of sampled, nor am I responsible for any trouble you may get into by doing this. I also agree with other 'ibles "Ethics of Free Sampling". Summarized, they basically say that only order what, you need, and don't go and sell it. Once again, I am not responsible for anything bad that may happen to you while doing this, you do this at completely your own risk.

Step 1: Free Sampling; Electronics

Here is the list
OKW:  http://www.okwenclosures.com/
Click on the picture of the product type you want, then on the product information page, scroll down to the product table that has the picture and the dimensions and the material. Then find the one you want and note the part number, then on the left of the page click free sample and fill out that form. Don’t worry about the “Description Field”

Intersil: http://www.intersil.com
Once you’re on their website find a product information page and then on the right side in the ordering box, click order sample. Then, you may have to register, but fill out that form.

Texas Instruments: www.ti.com
Up on the top bar thing, hover your mouse over “Samples and Buy” then click order free samples. Then, you may have to make an account, but it should show your samples cart which should be empty, then on the left, click browse for samples, and check the box that says show only items that have free samples or something like that. Next on a list of products there should be a check box on the right side of the table that says sample or something like that. Check all the ones on the page you want then at the top or bottom click add to cart. Then go back to your samples cart and finish the order!

Mil Max: www.Mil-Max.com
On a product information page, scroll down to the table where it has the product numbers and one column should be add to sample cart, click Add and just order.

TE: www.te.com
On the product detail page, about ½ way down, there is a link that says request sample, it will then check if they have it. If they do, at the top should be something about My Cart, or My Samples Cart. Click on that and complete the order.

Keystone: www.keyelco.com
This one’s hard to find. Follow their product tab to get to a type of product series page then from there, there should be a few options that will bring you to a more specific page like this one: http://www.keyelco.com/products/specs/spec53.asp. Once there get the Cat. Number, and at the bottom of the page I listed above, there is a request samples link or below the table or something. Click that and fill out the form.

Serpac: www.serpac.com
Ok, first of all thank God for Serpac and the generous people who work there! I ordered 2 samples and I got those two but along with that, on the receipt they sent me, another product was listed that says random samples at no extra cost! They sent me 16 random samples! (They do enclosures by the way). So Click on one of the series, get the product number, which is only 3-5 numbers I think, and then go back to the home page and the last box at the bottom right should say request a sample. Fill out the form and just so you know the sample/ inquiry request is the box where you paste the sample number. It’s sad that they don’t do resistors and L.E.Ds and such otherwise we could make what ever we wanted for free.
