Introduction: Free IPhone Stand W/ Coffee Purchase
This is my first instructable so please be kind ;)
Most coffee places nowadays provide with a cardboard 'sleeve' when you purchase a coffee to-go.
A lot of the times these sleeves go to waste after their usefulness is outlived. i.e. the beverage is no longer hot.
I decided I could use one to turn it into a cheap (free!?), portable iPhone or Smartphone stand at my desk.
This is the most affordable solution I have found ;)
Enjoy

Step 1: What You Need
This is a very simple instructable. You only need three items (and one is optional)
1 - A coffee sleeve
2 - A pair of scissors
3 - A writing instrument (optional) - a pen, pencil, marker, crayon, etc.

Step 2: Make Incissions
This is the crucial step :) - See photo for final results
Without making any changes to the coffee sleeve, flatten the sleeve so that both sides of the 'circle' are pressed together.
Make a cut along both sides of the sleeve at the desired viewing angle. I chose to go parallel to the overlap where the sleeves' ends meet.
Make another cut straight down about 1cm (or 1/2 in) from the end to make a 'lip' at the bottom that will prevent the device from sliding out.
You use the writing instrument to mark the places where you want to make the cuts first but this is entirely optional.

Step 3: Other Views
The resulting cuts should be near identical of each other (since you did them both at the same time).
Re-opening the sleeves' sides and you will get a narrow stand with plenty of back support for your iPhone or other Smartphone.
Most sleeves will have a bit of a rocker to it when placed upside down. I don't mind it but if you do, you can also cut the bottom in a straight line to prevent the device from rocking while you play with it.
The remaining pics show other angles of the finished stands (there are two different ones)
