Introduction: French Style Potatoes

French Style Potatoes recipe is very easy to make, light on digestion and quite versatile as it can be served as a main dish or a side dish next to anything meat. I prefer it simple most times but sometimes I serve it next to grilled fish or chicken breast. I love the Greek yogurt addition which gives it a fresh, light taste and the sour cream which makes the composition bind into a pudding like texture.

Step 1: Ingredients

1.5 kg potatoes

300 gr cottage cheese

200 gr cheese (any white assortment)

100 gr sheep cheese

200 gr sour cream

Greek yogurt as preferred

6 raw eggs

Extra ingredients (if you choose to spice things up as I have):

200 gr yellow cheese

2 medium tomatoes

Step 2: Description

Peel potatoes and cut into slices.

Then boil gently, about 5 minutes.

Beat 4 eggs and mix together with all cheese, sour cream and Greek yogurt.

Grease a pan with a little oil (or butter) and place a layer of potatoes, a layer of egg&cheese mixture and another layer of potatoes.

Continue until you finish all potatoes and the mixture.

Transfer to oven and keep on medium heat for 30 minutes.

Beat 2 eggs and spread over the composition.

Bake the potatoes for 10 more minutes.

When the crust that's formed gets slightly brow, remove the pan from the oven and let cool a few minutes before serving.
