Have you ever just found some trash on the beach? Well, then you're in luck! This instructable will help you make something pretty out of said trash!

Supplies

An empty butter container

Thread

Glue

A small empty bottle

Paint (optional)

Paper and a pen

Sand

Shells

Step 1: (optional) Paint a Basecoat on the Container

You only need to do this if you think the label will show through.

Step 2: Coat the Thread in Watered Down Glue

Step 3: Wrap the Thread in the Container

Step 4: Cut a Small Rectangle of Paper

Step 5: Write Something Down

You can also crumple the paper

Step 6: (optional) Paint the Lid Silver

Step 7: Collect Some Sand

Step 8: Sift the Sand a Few Times

Step 9: Pour the Sand and Decorate

To decorate you can use shells, rocks, colored sand, and toys. Or just don't.

Step 10: (IMPORTANT)

If you want the Zen garden to look good on pictures, do NOT, touch it with your fingers. To flatten down the sand, lightly tap it on the table.

Step 11: You're Done!
