Introduction: Frosted Pumpkin Cookies
In this instructable, I will show you how to make Frosted Pumpkin Cookies.
Step 1: Ingredients
For this recipe you will need:
2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 c melted butter
1 c canned pumpkin
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 c sugar
For the frosting:
4 c powdered sugar
8 oz creamed cheese, softened
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c butter, melted
Step 2: In a Bowl
Mix the melted butter and sugar together in a large bowl.
Step 3: Add More Stuff to the Bowl
Now add the baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg and mix thoroughly.
Step 4: Add Even More Stuff
Now combine the egg and vanilla to the mixture.
Step 5: Even More Stuff Gets Added
Now add the pumpkin and mix it in.
Step 6: Last Addition!
Add the flour now and mix it in completely.
Step 7: Get Out That Spoon...and Baking Sheet...and Parchment Paper
Drop the batter by spoonfuls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 8: Bake!
Bake in an oven that has been preheated to 350° for about 11 minutes, or until the cookies are set.
Step 9: Cool Down
Cool the cookies on a wire rack.
Now, these are delicious the way they are, but if you want frosting....read on.
Step 10: Using an Electric Mixer...
Combine the melted butter and cream cheese until creamy.
Step 11: Add More Ingredients
Blend in the vanilla to the mixture.
Step 12: Adding Another Ingredient.
Add the powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
Step 13: Frosting!
Add the frosting to the cookies.
Step 14: Enjoy!
