Introduction: Game Controllers in Class
Need:
1 Makey Makey Classic
1 Laptop
Conductors - Aluminium foil/Water containers/Pencil and Paper/Copper wire/etc.
Step 1: Step 1: Making Controller
Lay out materials and let students experiment and be creative!
I like to show the Intro to Makey Makey on YouTube to give some inspiration.
Roam the room and help out where necessary, but best to let students lead it.
Praise successes and risk-taking.
Have student experts help out if necessary.
Step 2: Playing
Encourage students to start with games they know of and can easily controller with the arrows and space bar/enter.
For those that are needing an extra challenge - encourage the more in depth options on the back of the Makey Makey.

What game are the students controlling in this exercise?

Hi Audrey,
I'm not too sure which game was played in the pictures, sorry. This was the first and last time I saw it. But a controller like this can be used for any arrow/space bar controlled game. My students have previously enjoyed playing Pac-Man and Super Mario.
