Introduction: Garden Pallet Bar

Have you ever wanted to create a Garden Pallet Bar? If so, this tutorial will explain how to achieve this.

You may want to entertain friends and family in your own Garden Space or simply want a cool feature for those hot summer days - whatever the reason is, this fantastic Pallet Bar Project could be ideal for you!

Supplies

You'll need the following:

  • Pallet Wood
  • Screws / Nails
  • Saw

Step 1: Start With a Basic Pallet

Start with a basic pallet and attach boards across

You can use screws or nails to fix them into position

The boards are approximately 41" inches

Step 2: Stand Pallet Up

Next stand your pallet up, add a small block for the feet - screw or nail into place

Step 3: Add New Board to Front

Get a new pallet board and secure to the front

Flip the unit around (so the new board is at the bottom)

Step 4: First Side

Now we'll start on the sides, get a new piece of board and measure ready for cutting. The boards on my bar are approximately 18" inches on the sides

Cut the wood

Attach the board to the pallet

Repeat the process down the entire length of the side

Step 5: Bar Top

Mitre a new piece of wood for the bar top

Secure into position

I then repeated this process for the section layer of the bar top

Step 6: Opposite Side

Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to make the opposite side and the Bar top

Step 7: Roof Supports

Next you'll need four pieces of pallet board and a wooden block, this is to create the roof section. Simply attach the four pieces of board to each side of the block.

On my Pallet Bar, the roof support was 39" inches tall

You need to make two of these and attach them to either side of the bar to support the roof.

Screw or nail the support into position on the bar top

Step 8: Roof Top

For the roof top, you need two new boards and a triangle block - secure them together with screws or nails

Add this to the roof supports you've just created

Step 9: Roof Boards

Next, we'll need more pallet boards.. this is for the roof, measure and cut

On my Bar, this wood was approximately 21" inches long

Screw or nail the pallet boards onto the roof section

You can also add a full length pallet board underneath for extra support if needed

Step 10: Finished

You can paint your bar any colour you like, I left mine in the natural wooden appearance
